What is Epithalon?

Epithalon (also written epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) based on a naturally occurring pineal gland peptide first isolated in longevity-pathway research originating from Russian gerontology research institutes. It belongs to the pineal-peptide research class, and laboratory interest centers on its proposed interaction with telomerase activity and circadian regulatory signaling in cell models. Because of its short, simple sequence, it is also used as a synthesis-validation compound for laboratories setting up peptide purity workflows. Published research on epithalon spans cell-culture telomere studies and animal-model circadian-rhythm work.
